Support for Students

We believe that everyone should be able to continue learning throughout their lives and should not be left out because of their age, income or any other factor. We continue to campaign for adult and community learning so that that everyone can afford and enjoy courses.

WEA Learner Support Fund

People who cannot afford published course fees can apply for funding from the Learner Support Fund so that their fees can be paid in full by the WEA. Most courses are automatically free for people receiving means-tested benefits but it should be noted that the Learner Support Fund is limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis.

What can be applied for?

Childcare and dependent care, material, equipment, books. Fees: Accreditation, Examination, Tuition Travel, Field Trips.

Application forms and further information should be requested from WEA Yorkshire & Humber Region, 6 Woodhouse Square, Leeds LS3 1AD. Tel: 0113 245 3304
