Learning with WEA Yorkshire & Humber Region
Adults can learn many skills in colleges, universities and with training agencies, especially if they are preparing to find a jpb. We work alongside these organisations to offer alternative courses and activities for learning throughout life. Most of our courses are part-time.. We do our best to ensure that learning with us is enjoyable and stimulating. We try to make sure that students are involved in planning what is learnt - and the way it is learnt.
There is more information about individual activities in the course search section.

Support for Students
We believe that everyone should be able to continue learning throughout their lives and should not be left out because of their age, income or any other factor. We continue to campaign for adult and community learning so that that everyone can afford and enjoy courses.
WEA Learner Support Fund
People who cannot afford published course fees can apply for funding from the Learner Support Fund so that their fees can be paid in full by the WEA. Most courses are automatically free for people receiving means-tested benefits but it should be noted that the Learner Support Fund is limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis.
