Wise Up and Wear It

World AIDS day ribbonNow in its 18th year, World AIDS Day, the international day of action on HIV and AIDS is taking place on 1st December. The event is run by the National AIDS Trust charity and aims to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS and to show support for people living with HIV.

This year's campaign is called Wise Up and Wear It and encourages people to buy a red ribbon as a sign of support and a symbol of hope for the future.
As part of the campaign the charity has set up the World AIDS Day website which provides clear information about HIV and AIDS and describes ways to show support for the campaign this year.

The site includes a national listing of events, competitions and insights and stories from supporters and those whose lives have been affected by HIV and AIDS.
