What is Routes?

Routes is a collaborative, multi-partner project led by Community Works, to help people on their journey into employment – providing intensive internship placements, local learning opportunities and employability focussed information and advice.

It offers free 1-2-1 support to anyone over 18 who is unemployed or economically inactive. It integrates with existing services in community venues across Brighton, Hove and West Sussex.

As part of this project, WEA offer Routes Local Learning opportunities for adults of all ages. Taking part in Routes is all about building your confidence, getting up-to-date skills and making real progress towards better work opportunities.

Routes Local Learning is your pathway from today to your future. It gives you access to classes, courses and training on your doorstep, without the need for time consuming and costly travel. Learning that you feel will help you on your path in life, and increase your employment opportunities. Routes Local Learning is available in Worthing, Bognor, Littlehampton and Selsey. Find out more about Routes courses in each of these areas by clicking the boxes below.

Funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund, Routes is a partnership consisting of the WEA and many other high impact voluntary organisations in Sussex: Community Works, The Bridge Community Education Centre, The Hangleton and Knoll Project and The Whitehawk Inn.
