05 March 2012

Many people involved in adult education, including many WEA students, took part in an online survey of their views relation to adult and community learning. The survey was conducted by NIACE (the National Institute for Adult & Continuing Education) on behalf of the Government. 6,306 individuals and 227 groups from all areas of England sent their views. The report is now available and you can read the summary here.

The survey was part of the government consultation on the future of Further Education including, informal adult and community learning. The responses to the survey show there is a public passion for adult learning and interest in contributing to policy. People hold strong opinions about informal adult and community learning.
