Our courses and educational projects are planned and administered by nine regional offices in England.
Each office is responsible, with its volunteer-led Regional Committee and local network of branches, for deciding what courses to offer and how best to meet the needs of people living in their respective areas.
The WEA has been providing courses since 1903 and since this time has always operated with a regional structure. The educational provision in each region is a reflection of its particular locale, and each has a distinctive character.
The links on the left provide an overview of the work of each of the WEA regions in England. You can find contact information on all nine regions on our contacts page, as well as links to regional websites where these exist.
