Building Better Opportunities (BBO)
Big Lottery Fund is matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth.
The Workers’ Educational Association [WEA] is an educational charity delivering responsive, relevant and accessible programmes of learning across England and Scotland. Through our vision of employability, health and wellbeing, community engagement and cultural studies, we raise the educational aspirations of local communities.
We are seeking to recruit staff to join an ambitious team to deliver the BBO programme. The successful candidate will undertake core activities to support the administration and compliance on the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) projects that the Association leads on.
You will need to have experience of grant/project management, administration & reporting including developing relevant processes and procedures. It is essential that you have excellent Excel & database skills, along with the ability to analyse complex & multiple data sets. Experience of financial budgeting, forecasting & reporting and an understanding of Big Lottery Fund and/or European funding delivery & regulatory arrangements would be desirable.
We offer generous terms and conditions including 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme – subject to eligibility. Please note holiday entitlement, including bank holidays is pro rata for part time posts.
