Adult Learners' Week
The year’s largest celebration of learning is upon us with Adult Learners’ Week 2006. Starting Saturday 20 May, education providers across the country join the campaign offering all kinds of celebrations, special events and taster courses for adults wanting to ‘give it a go’. The festival of learning was started by NIACE in 1992 and has since gathered pace to become an international success. The week-long, national celebration of adults’ learning achievements kicks-off with ‘Cultural Diversity Day’. NIACE have set up a national Adult Learners’ Week event calendar on their website with a list of all the special events taking place. In addition to hundreds of local events, the main events running throughout the week are: Saturday 20th May
