Looking after your interests - Data Protection

In order to receive membership and other services from the WEA, you will occasionally be asked to submit personal information such as your name and address.

The information you provide to the WEA is held by us in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Your membership details will be shared between the WEA Corporate Services office, Regions and Branches in order to process your membership application effectively and keep you up to date with relevant WEA news and information.

The information we have on record will not be to any third party without your express permission. Members may conclude their WEA membership at any time by making contact with the Membership Department. On leaving the WEA membership scheme, members’ details are no longer held on our membership database.
