Distance Learning

If you want to study when you want to, or if regular attendance at a conventional course is difficult, then a distance learning course could be ideal for you.

The WEA in the south west offers 'The Write Time' programme - Creative Writing
Write Time is a distance learning programme in creative writing, offering the opportunity to develop skills within both fiction writing and/or writing autobiography. There are three courses in the Programme, suitable for both beginners and those with some writing experience.

You can enrol for any one or a combination of the courses depending on your previous experience and interests. During the course you are supported by a creative writing tutor who is also a writer and understands the needs of people undertaking distance learning courses. You are also able to start at any time during the year. Courses are designed to run for approximately 30 weeks, with a recommended study time of about 4-6 hours per week - but these times are flexible. Courses are accredited through the Open College Network and each course offers 12 credits at level 1, 2 or 3.

It is ethical, creative and inspiring and gives a blueprint for our survival and the repair of this degraded planet.

We offer the following course as part distance and part face to face learning:

Introduction to Permaculture
