WEA Conference 2005

Bookings are now being taken for this year's WEA National conference which takes place on the weekend of Saturday 15 October at the University of Manchester.

The bi-annual event is an opportunity for WEA members, Branches, Regions, affiliates and partners to meet and share news and views, hear reports and presentations and take part in debates and decisions which will shape the future of the WEA.

Booking forms are now available for the event along with information for WEA Branches and Affiliates on the formal business of conference for Saturday 15th October. The day is set aside to allow elections and debates to take place among the WEA's voting members.

On Sunday morning the focus is more informal and delegates and visitors, from within and outside the WEA, are invited to participate in workshops, briefings and debates on some of the main issues affecting the WEA and adult learners today. Demonstrations and examples of some of the best work of the WEA will add a practical element to the morning.
